The making of a Luxestride sandal
Six stages, carried out in sequence, with a final inspection before any pair leaves the workshop.
Chapter One
Selecting the leather
Hides are reviewed by hand for grain, thickness and finish. We work with full-grain, calf and nubuck leathers chosen for how they soften and hold shape rather than how quickly they can be processed.
Chapter Two
Developing the design
Each style begins as a paper pattern. Strap width, footbed depth and toe shape are adjusted across samples until the sandal sits correctly on the foot at rest and in motion.
Chapter Three
Construction and stitching
Uppers are set into the footbed and secured with reinforced stitching at every anchor point. Where straps take load, the stitch density increases and the leather is doubled.
Chapter Four
Sole durability and comfort testing
Soles are chosen for grip and flex, then tested through repeated wear. Footbed shape and strap tension are checked on real feet before a style is signed off for production.
Chapter Five
Finishing
Edges are burnished until smooth, seams are dressed, and the leather is conditioned to an even tone. This is the stage that separates a finished sandal from an assembled one.
Chapter Six
Final inspection
Every pair is checked for stitch consistency, strap symmetry, sole adhesion and finish before it is boxed. Anything that falls short goes back to the bench.
